Waterfest 2026 – Volunteer Signup

Volunteer at Waterfest! This free, family-friendly festival in Goodlettsville’s Peay Park celebrates our local streams and rivers. During the event, Cumberland River Compact staff will need help with entry-level tasks including:
- Greeting and checking in families
- Monitoring waterslides
- Assisting with parking operations
- Keeping the party atmosphere going all morning long!
First time volunteering at a community event? Great! This is the perfect opportunity to get your feet wet (pun intended): all volunteer tasks are entry-level and require no prior experience. Individuals of all ages and levels of ability are welcome, and the more, the merrier; consider bringing your youth group, corporate team, or best friends. Sign up for a 2-3 hour shift to dip your toe in the fun, or stay for the whole event if that’s more your style.
Hosted by the Cumberland River Compact with support from the City of Gallatin, the City of Goodlettsville, and the City of Hendersonville, Waterfest combines education and summer fun. Attendees will learn about the importance of water quality in our watershed through interactive displays, activities, and conversations with local environmental educators. Plus, there will be two waterslides, prizes, and a family-favorite dance party!
Volunteer Requirements:
- Registration below is required to participate. Every volunteer must complete their own registration, and volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian acknowledge the volunteer agreement below.
- Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age, but all experience and ability levels are welcome.
- Waterfest is an outdoor event with limited access to indoor facilities. Volunteers must be able to work outside for the full duration of their shift.
- Volunteers will need to park at Goodlettsville City Hall and walk roughly 10 minutes to Peay Park to check in.
- If you are volunteering to receive credit for service hours, please bring necessary documentation from your school or organization for one of our staff members to sign at the end of the event. Psst… this is a great way to earn TN Promise hours!
- Looking to volunteer with your service group or company? This is a perfect feel-good team building opportunity! Please contact Anna at volunteer@cumberlandrivercompact.org with your group affiliation and projected group size to get plugged into this event.
