What is the Cumberland River Basin?
The Cumberland River basin is a huge region, stretching nearly 18,000 square miles. It is home to nearly 2.5 million people, and all or portions of over 70 Tennessee and Kentucky counties. It is also home to thousands of plant and animal species and over 22,000 miles of streams and rivers.
Learn about Waterway Health with iCreek
iCreek is an interactive tool developed by the Cumberland River Compact and The Nature Conservancy of Tennessee. If you live in the Cumberland River Basin, the tool will tell you if your neighborhood waterway is healthy. If your waterway is unhealthy, the tool will also list activities you can do and the resources you can use to help your stream.
