The Compact supports individuals and communities in their conservation efforts and empowers them to care for their land and water. There are many ways to participate in keeping our waterways clean in the Cumberland River basin.

Join us for opportunities to enhance the health of creeks and streams in your neighborhood. We offer year-round activities such as stream clean-ups and seasonal tree plantings.

Corporate Team Building
The Compact offers donation-based annual partnerships to participate in team-building events like stream clean ups, tree plantings, and kayak excursions. These events bring coworkers together to achieve a common goal while also achieving lasting environmental impact.
Hellbender on the River
A festive riverside party that supports the water conservation work of the Compact and raises awareness about the Cumberland River basin – one of the most biodiverse regions in the world. Hosted every summer in the Neuhoff District in Germantown.
Root Nashville
Root Nashville is a campaign led by the Compact and Metro Nashville to plant 500,000 trees in Davidson County by 2050. Get free trees for your yard, volunteer, or sponsor a tree with a donation.
Youth Climate Summit
High schoolers from across Nashville are invited to attend the Nashville Youth Climate Summit to engage in discussions and activities about climate change impacts and actions in the city. Hosted annually in February/March in partnership with the Mayor’s Youth Council and the Oasis Center.
