Stormwater Control Measures: What Property Managers Need to Know

Join the Cumberland River Compact and the City of Gallatin for an informative session designed specifically for property managers, HOA board members, and community association leaders. This presentation will focus on the importance of Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs)—the systems and structures that help manage runoff, protect water quality, and prevent flooding in our neighborhoods. Proper stormwater management plays a key role in protecting the water quality of Gallatin’s waterways, including Old Hickory Lake, a vital resource for recreation, wildlife habitat, and the community’s drinking water supply.
Participants will learn:
- What SCMs are and why they matter for your community’s health and water quality
- Practical tips for proper inspection and maintenance
- How to stay in compliance with the City of Gallatin’s stormwater regulations
This session is a great opportunity to understand your responsibilities, ask questions, and connect with others who manage HOA and community properties.
Please note that this event was postponed from January 29, 2026, and rescheduled due to Winter Storm Fern.
