National Science Teachers Association Conference

The Cumberland River Compact is thrilled to present at this year’s National Science Teachers Association conference! The presentation will cover our work promoting clean and abundant water by supporting Tennessee environmental science teachers.
On Saturday, April 18th, from 9:30 – 10:00 am, staff from the Compact’s Education Team will present “Making Learning Local: Using Phenomenon-based Learning to Advance Environmental Science.” This presentation will explain how the Cumberland River Compact partners with school districts to provide curriculum-based professional learning focused on using local phenomena in the classroom.
The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) conference brings together science and STEM educators for four days of meaningful learning, collaboration, and growth. This year’s conference is from April 15 to 18 in Anaheim, CA.
