Hellbender on the River 2026

Hellbender on the River is the Compact’s annual evening of live music and incredible food that celebrates the streams and rivers that make up the Cumberland River watershed. This year, Hellbender will take place on Thursday, May 28th at the Platz at Neuhoff in Germantown.

Join the Compact for this summer celebration featuring local musicians, great food and drink, community, and fun— all while honoring the incredible biodiversity and beauty that make the Cumberland River basin like nowhere else in the world.

• • Great local food by Mijo Gordito and bar featuring wine, local brews, and a signature cocktail
  • Nashville-based indie folk/Americana band Wily will provide entertainment for the night
  • A tasting of whiskeys aged on a barge, courtesy of Ingram Distillery
  • Raffle with prizes such as a backstage tour of the Hellbender exhibit at the Nashville Zoo and a cabin getaway at Dale Hollow Lake!
  • A virtual reality experience that’ll transport you to restoration projects across the Cumberland River basin
