Boyd Park Stream Cleanup

To celebrate the end of the Compact’s 2025 volunteer season, join us at Boyd Park in West Nashville to clean up a tributary of the Cumberland River! Running parallel to the Boyd Park Greenway, this small stream has managed to trap all kinds of litter, from bottles and cans to shopping carts and tires. The stream is only about a mile away from the Cumberland River, so without our help, this litter will end up in the river soon, where it is much harder to clean out.
With the dedicated help of the best volunteers in Tennessee, the Compact has removed 23,740.57 pounds of trash from Middle Tennessee waterways in 2025. Let’s add to this total on December 6th and end the year on a high note!
Meet-up and Parking: Meet at the Boyd Park Greenway entrance on Alameda Street next to 3921 Alameda St, Nashville, TN 37209. Street park on either side of Alameda Street, being cautious of any road signs.

This cleanup is made possible thanks to funding from Metro Water Services and Metro Nashville, and their dedication to ensuring the Cumberland River and its tributaries are clean. Don’t forget – that’s where 3 million people get their drinking water!
