Belmont Community Connections Fair 2024

Are you a student, faculty member, or employee at Belmont University looking to volunteer to enhance and protect Nashville waterways? Stop by the Cumberland River Compact table at the Belmont Community Connections Fair on September 18 to chat with the Compact’s Volunteer Coordinator, Anna! You’ll be able to register for upcoming volunteer opportunities on the spot, and she’ll tell you all there is to know about volunteering at:

• Litter cleanups in streams, creeks, rivers, and lakes, both on-foot and on kayak
• Tree plantings at properties across Davidson County through Root Nashville
• Rain garden and pocket prairie plantings to add green infrastructure to our growing cities
• Depave projects to convert impervious surfaces, such as parking lots, into thriving green spaces
• Annual events like Hellbender on the River and the Compact’s Dragon Boat Festival, where our staff always need an extra hand
