Volunteer: Tree Planting with Urban Housing Solutions

The Root Nashville Campaign at the Cumberland River Compact is working with affordable housing nonprofit Urban Housing Solutions to plant trees at their Gibson Creek Apartments site. This tree planting will reduce stormwater runoff, reduce the urban heat island effect, improve air quality and public health, combat climate change, beautify the neighborhood, and more.
Volunteers will be helping to plant large 1″ caliper trees and should anticipate digging, lifting, and mulching, so please wear appropriate outdoor attire.
