Root Nashville Fall Planting Party 2024

Root Nashville’s vision of planting 500,000 trees in Davidson County by 2050 is built upon grassroots support from the Nashville community. You can lend a hand in reaching this goal by volunteering at the annual Fall Planting Party!
Tree planting sites will be located throughout Nashville. Please sign up to help your site of choice. Volunteer tasks will include light digging around pre-dug holes, planting potted 1-inch caliper trees, and mulching.

- Clothing and shoes that can get dirty or even muddy, depending on recent weather conditions. Long pants are recommended, closed-toed shoes are required.

What We Provide:
- Gloves & shovels (while supplies last), pick axes, and other tools to help get trees in the ground!

This tree planting is made possible through Root Nashville, which is a public-private campaign led by Metro Nashville and the Cumberland River Compact to plant 500,000 trees across Davidson County by 2050. The Compact is grateful for Metro Nashville’s joint commitment to restoring Nashville’s tree canopy and promoting improved stormwater absorption across the city.
