River Friendly Farms Grazing School Fall 2026

September 25 @ 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Are you a farmer interested in using regenerative practices to raise livestock? Sign up for the Cumberland River Compact’s Fall 2026 Grazing School in West Tennessee this September!

The course will be led by grazing specialist Greg Brann and the Cumberland River Compact at Moss Cattle Company in Brownsville, TN. The workshop will cover the many benefits of a multi-paddock, managed grazing system. There will also be a presentation by USDA veterinarian Dr. Jenna Jackson, who will discuss the connection between water quality and animal health.

The first part of the course will be spent in the “classroom” and the second half in the field. Learn how to increase stocking density, make the most of marginal land, provide water access to remote parts of your farm, and more. Additionally, attendees are eligible for cost-share funding through the Compact to install exclusion fencing along creeks, streams, and rivers.

Dinner will be provided. This class is free, thanks to funding from the NASDA Foundation and Southern SARE.
