Camping Cleanup at Frozen Head State Park

April 23 @ 11:00 am - April 24 @ 12:00 pm

Join the Cumberland River Compact for a weekend of camping, recreation, and environmental stewardship at Frozen Head State Park!

We are excited to hold our first camping cleanup of the spring to celebrate Earth Month. This camping cleanup is the first of a series the Cumberland River Compact is proud to lead this year in partnership with TN State Parks, made possible with funding from TVA.

Volunteers will participate in a litter cleanup Saturday afternoon and will have the opportunity to join us for a guided hike on Sunday with rangers from Frozen Head leading the way as we explore the park and all it has to offer.

Campsites are generously waived by the park. Volunteers are responsible for covering their personal travel costs, food, and camping equipment for the weekend. We will provide light snacks for hiking, supplies for the cleanup, and firewood!

Volunteers must REGISTER for this event in order to secure a campsite and spot at our cleanup. Find more info and sign up here: https://cumberlandrivercompact.org/get-involved/volunteer/

This event was made possible through generous funding from Tennessee Valley Authority and TN State Parks
