Greta Flaig is the Urban Forestry Operations Manager at the Cumberland River Compact. Her role is to facilitate the tree maintenance and planting program for the Root Nashville Campaign. Greta runs crews and manages tree health for the program.
She has a B.S in Natural Resources with a concentration in forestry and hydrology from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
Greta loves being outdoors in all capacities, especially backpacking and fly-fishing. She grew up in Chicago and spends much of her time at her Family farm in rural Illinois. In her opinion, spending a day in a corn field is an ideal use of time. Greta is very excited to assist in the efforts to improve the ecological health of the Cumberland River basin.
