This lesson is designed to be a flexible opportunity for teachers to engage their students in thinking about how choices people make about where and what to build can impact water flow.
Students in this lesson generate ideas about the ways water can nurture and threaten humans, living things, and the surrounding landscape. The activity centers around examining local water flow around a school and using findings to view human activity through an environmental impact lens.
