ETS3:  Applications of Science

Scientists use observations to form testable and empirical research questions. In this activity, students will play a matching game based on natural objects and will generate observations and research questions.  During the asynchronous time, they will use the prompts “I notice” and “I wonder” to practice making observations and creating potential empirical research questions.

This lesson was originally written for high school Scientific Research courses but could be modified to fit a variety of lessons on science practices.
