Disciplinary Core Idea
LS4:  Biological Change: Unity and Diversity

Evidence of past life is all around us. Tennessee has a rich history of people and animals that have thrived and survived because of the abundance of life-sustaining water. In this lesson, students become paleontologists to make observations about various fossils that have been found in Tennessee. They make predictions about the type of environment that the fossilized animals lived in and compare them to currently living species.
