Trinity Hills Park Cleanup

September 2 @ 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
TRINITY HILLS PARK CLEANUP Join the Cumberland River Compact, Tennessee Environmental Council, Metro Nashville Parks & Recreation, Metro Water Services, Nashville Waste Services, and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. SEPTEMBER 2 9AM-1PM

Join the Cumberland River Compact, Tennessee Environmental Council, Metro Nashville Parks & Recreation, Metro Water Services, and our state agency partners for a special volunteer cleanup at Trinity Hills Park. Together, we’ll remove litter and storm debris that has accumulated along a secluded stream corridor, helping protect local waterways and restore an important natural habitat.

Over time, heavy rains and flooding have carried trash downstream where it becomes trapped throughout the floodplain and stream channel. By volunteering, you’ll play a direct role in improving water quality, creating healthier habitat for wildlife, and supporting Metro Parks’ long-term vision for expanding public access and future greenway connections in this hidden corner of Nashville.

This is a unique opportunity to explore and care for an area that is rarely accessible to the public while making a tangible environmental impact alongside local partners dedicated to protecting our community’s natural resources.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and comfortable working outdoors on uneven terrain during the summer. The Cumberland River Compact will provide all cleanup supplies, including litter grabbers, gloves, trash bags, and safety vests. We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes or rubber boots, long pants, and bringing a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and a snack.

Whether you’re looking to give back to your community, spend time outdoors, or help protect Nashville’s streams and rivers, your participation will make a lasting difference. We hope you’ll join us for a rewarding day of stewardship at Trinity Hills Park!
