Teacher Training: Digital Tools for Place-Based Water Quality Data

Are you looking to incorporate more real-world data and problem-solving into your classroom? Using real-time data from your own watershed helps students make a personal connection to the content without leaving the classroom.

During this one-hour virtual training, you will receive resources and brief tutorials on how to access several different sources of local water quality data and maps. We will look at some of our favorites, including iCreek, USGS Water Watch, Model My Watershed and more! 

This training is geared towards 6th – 12th grade teachers, but anyone is welcome. You will walk away with a quick-access resource list with links to the digital tools and lesson ideas for incorporating them into the classroom.
