Sumner County Community Clean-Up Day at Town Creek

April 6 @ 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Join the Compact as we partner with the Sumner County Health Committee to clean litter from Town Creek in Gallatin as part of their 3rd annual Community Clean-Up Day! The Cumberland River Compact and the cities of Gallatin, Portland, Hendersonville, White House, and Westmoreland will all be participating to accomplish our collective goal of removing 15,000 pounds of litter from all cleanup sites, which will top last year’s total of 13,000 pounds removed!

This is an on-foot stream cleanup. All supplies will be provided and registration is required. If you have your own collapsible wagon, we encourage bringing it as it may help you carry trash on our 0.6 mile cleanup route! If you’re interested in learning more about the Sumner County Health Committee’s event and additional cleanup opportunities available on April 6th, please visit their website here. Can’t make it out to Gallatin but still hoping to volunteer with the Compact on April 6th? We’ll also be planting trees at our Root Nashville Spring Planting Party in Bordeaux! Click here to be directed to the Spring Planting Party sign-up page.

The Cumberland River Compact is proud to continue our work in collaboration with the City of Gallatin to address stormwater issues and maintain the community’s natural beauty. Town Creek runs through downtown Gallatin, TN and is a tributary of East Camp Creek which flows into Old Hickory Lake.
