Spring Planting Pre-Party
Join the celebration before the party with the Cumberland River Compact as we connect our roots to rivers during our Spring Planting Party weekend! This April 5th pre-party will kick-off our inaugural Spring Planting Party on April 6th hosted by Root Nashville, a Cumberland River Compact tree planting campaign with Metro Nashville to plant 500,000 trees across Davidson County by 2020. This family-friendly event will teach you the foundations of planting a tree in a way that encourages the long-term viability of the tree. All tree planting supplies will be provided — however, volunteers are encouraged to bring their own shovels!
A healthy tree canopy leads to clean air and clean waters, meaning improved well-being and local waterways for local Nashvillians to thrive in. From about mid-October through the end of March every season, our Root Nashville team is out delivering hundreds of trees every week to neighborhoods all across Nashville — now’s your chance to get involved in the impact! Registration is required. We hope to see you there!
