River Talks: Urban Trees “Walk and Talk”
October 7, 2021 @ 12:00 pm

TALK AND PROJECT TOUR
Urban trees are invaluable, critical infrastructure in cities, and they make a huge difference in neighborhood livability.
During this “walk and talk” event at the urban tree planting site of Hull Jackson Montessori Elementary in North Nashville, we will discuss the connections between urban forests and water quality, and why trees are essential for public health.
Participants will explore the site as a group and see a wide variety of labeled species and pick up some basic identification and planting tips.
Join the Root Nashville campaign with the Cumberland River Compact to learn more, and see the marked difference that newly planted trees make at a site 2-3 years after planting.
