e-STEM for Tennessee’s Teachers
December 2 @ 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Did you know that Tennessee is the most biodiverse state without a coastline? There are more than 325 fish species found in Tennessee alone! As we teach STEM concepts in our classroom, incorporating local knowledge about the environment gives students a connection to place and helps them see real-world applications.
Join the Cumberland River Compact at the Tennessee State University Otis L. Floyd Nursery Research Center in McMinnville to learn about Tennessee’s biodiversity, resources for incorporating place-based learning into the classroom, and a tour of the nursery facility. This free training is great for teachers from any content background in K – 8.
