The Cumberland River Compact in partnership with the Mayor’s Youth Council presents the Nashville Youth Climate Summit. Join youth from across Nashville as we come together (virtually) to learn about climate change in our city and its global impacts. Local scientists, activists, and nonprofit leaders will lead collaborative sessions on climate change impacts and solutions. The day will cover topics from the basics of climate change to racial & climate justice, climate entrepreneurship + careers, sustainable food systems, climate action, and much more!

Speakers include Dr. Jonathan Gilligan (Vanderbilt University), Dr. Emily Jones (Lipscomb University), Cecilia Prado (Worker’s Dignity), Jamel Campbell-Gooch (Gideon’s Army), Steven Romeo (Music City Creative Co), Meg Gill (The Good Fill), Seema Prasad (Miel Restaurant), Elizabeth Langgle-Martin (Nashville Food Project), Kayla (Teens 4 Equality), Matt Stockamp (Nisolo Shoes), Patrick King (Urban Green Lab), Nicole Brose (Urban Green Lab), Nora Kern (Walk Bike Nashville), Cathy Anderson (Climate Reality) and more!

High school youth who live in Nashville are encouraged to register, with the goal of at least 5 students representing every high school in Nashville. Youth from other counties in Middle Tennessee are also welcome to attend.
