Ways to Give
A Gift to The Compact Enhances the Future…and There are Multiple Ways
Our growing organization needs support from people just like you…regular folks who every day use our limited resource to shower, drink, clean, fish, swim and more across Middle Tennessee.
The Cumberland River Compact strives to enhance the water quality of the Cumberland River and its tributaries through education and by promoting cooperation among citizens, businesses, and agencies in Kentucky and Tennessee in each of the 14 watersheds that make up the Cumberland River Basin every day. We hope you’ll want to have the personal satisfaction of knowing you have directly contributed to this effort. The Cumberland River Compact is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation and gifts to support our work are fully tax deductible as allowed by law.
It’s up to us to leave the Cumberland River and all of her watersheds in Kentucky and Tennessee better than we found it. Through your gift to the Cumberland River Compact you can help us accomplish this great work. It’s a great gift for future generations.
Making a planned gift to the Cumberland River Compact offers you an extraordinarily flexible and simple way to combine philanthropy with financial planning. In fact, a planned gift may help you give more to conservation than you thought possible while still providing you or someone you designate with favorable financial and/or tax benefits. Planned gifts to the Cumberland River Compact are about planning for the future: your future and the future of the watersheds that make up the Cumberland River Basin. The programs of The Cumberland River Compact depend upon your goodwill. To that end, there are many easy giving options from which you can choose – from naming the Cumberland River Compact as a beneficiary in your will to a life-income arrangement.
Gifts of Appreciated Assets

Bequests, Charitable Remainder Unitrusts, and Other Planned Gifts
Many planned gifts may not be directly applicable to our immediate projects. However, because the Cumberland River Compact has a long range plan that will take many years to complete, it may be possible to use irrevocable bequest intentions or charitable remainder unitrusts as gifts for future projects. Please call the Cumberland River Compact or contact us to discuss these estate planning options.
