We partnered with Ingram Barge to offer this wonderful educational program, RiverWorks Discovery. RiverWorks Discovery is a coordinated effort which brings together the barge industry with nonprofits to provide programming on the role our rivers have played and will continue to play in our nation’s future.

We also highlighted our three major public events that connect people to our amazing waterways and educate folks on how they can make a difference. Around the corner is the 10th Annual Catfish Rodeo. On June 9 this free family festival involves exhibitors providing educational activities and children ages 5-16 can enter the fishing competition to hook a catfish or two.

On September 29 the Dragons Are Coming! Our 6th Annual Cumberland River Dragon Boat Festival roars down the Cumberland River at River Front Park.

Our third event is the 2nd Annual Green Homes Tour of Middle Tennessee on October 6 – 7. The Tour offers you a chance to see beautiful, eco-friendly homes and yards where you will learn about the practices and benefits of green building and low impact landscaping so you may live more sustainably.
